StoryWave
To save and share your video, tap the save button in the top right corner of the editor for your project. You will then be able to choose to either save the video to your Photo Library, or a destination to share to.
In both the Scene Editor and the Timeline Editor, there is a "?" icon that leads to you a series of tutorials explaining how to use the app.
In some rare cases your purchase will not be registered with the app. Just tap "Restore purchases" in the settings menu and your purchase will be restored. If you get a message that there is no purchase to restore, make sure you are logged into the Apple ID that purchased the subscription on your device.
The music provided in the app is for usage in your videos - it is royalty free and most of it was provided to us by the artists themselves to use in the app.
With that given, in some cases Facebook, YouTube or other networks will flag these songs as copyrighted. We don't have any control on which songs these networks allow, so if your video is flagged, we suggest you choose a different song and use that.
In the Timeline Editor, you can use up to 6 different songs with a video. First, tap the "Add" button in the bottom left corner, select "Music", and add another track. You can then tap into the "Music" timeline for each of the songs you've added, and set which track will play at what time.
If you are using the Quick Editor, complete your edit there, then tap the "..." icon in the main project list, tap "Duplicate to Timeline Editor", and then add multiple songs using the Timeline Editor.
StoryWave uses Apple and iOS's built in subscription system, so you can cancel your free trial or existing subscription there. You can tap "Manage subscriptions" in the settings menu for quick access, or search for "Subscriptions" in the settings app on your device, or access them here: https://support.apple.com/en-il/HT202039.
Your saved video appears in the "Photos" app on your device after being saved. You can also find it in the "StoryWave" album on your device.
You can chat with us live by tapping "Chat with us" in the settings section, or email us at contact@unstaticapps.com
StoryWave uses Apple and iOS's built in subscription system, so your payment and refunds are procesed by Apple. You can easily request a refund from Apple through this link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084.
StoryWave is a complex app and there may be some cases where there is a problem saving your video. We work hard to fix these bugs, but we wanted to provide some ideas on how to bypass a project that is having issues.
If you are using the speed changing functionality for your videos, we are working to fix a rare bug connected to that. If speed is not critical to your video, try to duplicate your project, remove the speed change, and see if that helps saving.
In other cases, one of the media items (photo or video) is usually causing the issue. If the project doesn't contain many photos/videos, you can duplicate the project, and remove photos/videos one by one until the project saves successfully. You can then go back to the original project and replace the problematic photo/video.
In other cases, there may be a limitation of disk space which is causing this issue. Please go to the "Settings" app on your phone, and check your Storage under "General" to make sure there is enough space.
If the above steps don't help, or the speed is critical to your edit, you can contact us by chat to get some help, or you can do perform a screen recording of your video playing back to save it. To perform a screen recording, open the video in the Timeline Editor, tap the "Media" bar on the bottom of the timelines, and tap the full screen icon in the top left corner. Your video will now play back in full screen, use the instructions here to record playback: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207935.
If you project is not in the Timeline Editor, tap the "..." icon next to it in the project list and select "Duplicate to Timeline Editor".
Yes, this is very easy to do in StoryWave. In the Timeline Editor, just tap the "Media" timeline, select the video, tap "Volume", and set the volume to 0.
In the Scene Editor, tap the "Scenes" button, select the scene you want to silenve from the scenes list, tap "Volume", and set the volume to 0.
If you have multiple videos in your project that you'd like to silence, tap "VV" to apply the volume setting to all of them at once.
We love chatting with our users and helping you out, but with this feature you are chatting with the actual developers of the app, and we are not always online and available to talk. If you we are online we will answer you immediately, but in some cases it can take up to 24 hours, so please be patient.
Yes, this is possible in the Timeline Editor. Tap the "Music" timeline bar to enter the music timeline and select the music. Then scroll the places where you'd like to change volume, and tap the "Split" button to split the timeline into smaller segments. For each segment, tap the "Volume" button to adjust the volume for that segment.
Yes, StoryWave does offer a one time purchase of the app. You can find it on the purchase page, or by tapping "See all plans" or "More billing options" if this option is not available immediately. If you already have a subscription, you will need to cancel it, wait for it to expire, and then you will see the purchase page again and will be able to purchase the one time purchase.
We would love to enable users to add music from Spotify, Apple Music or other streaming services, but unfortunately due to legal issues, those streaming services do not offer that option. If they do offer it in the future, we will gladly add it to the app.
In the Timeline Editor, tap "Add" in the bottom left, and select music. In the Scene Editor, tap the "Music" button on the bottom. When the "Choose music" screen appears, select "Library" at the bottom. This will open a screen that shows the music that iOS allows us to add to the project, based on your purchases and DRM. You can use any song that appears, but we can't control which music appears there.
If you have a music file (an .mp3 for example) that you'd like to add to your video, first add it to the Files app on your iPhone. You can read more about that here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206481.
Once the file is in the Files app, you can add it to your project. In the Timeline Editor, tap "Add" in the bottom left, and select music. In the Scene Editor, tap the "Music" button on the bottom. When the "Choose music" screen appears, select "Files" at the bottom. This will open a screen that shows the Files app, and where you can select any file that is saved there.
We use the built in functionality in iOS for accessing your photos, and sometimes photos/videos will be delivered to us in a different order than they appear in the Photos app. If a specific photo/video doesn't appear in the app, you can either scroll through all of your photos/videos and look for it, or go to the Photos app on your phone, add it to an album (i.e. "Photos for StoryWave"), and then in StoryWave tap the "All Media" button on top to select that album and find your photos/videos.
Yes, if you purchase a subscription you can use that subscription on multiple devices, as long as you use the same Apple ID on all devices. Please note that the projects themselves are not synced between devices, but you will be able to use the Pro subscription on all devices.
To activate the subscription on the other device, just tap "Restore purchases" from the settings menu on that device.
We use Apple and iOS's built in subscription system, and this allows a user to only try a free trial once. If we are able to identify that a user performed a free trial in the past, we will not offer it again, but in some cases this information is not available to us (For example, if the user switched to a different device or reset their device). In this case, you will be charged immediately after starting a free trial, and you can easily request a refund from Apple if this was not your intention (see the question about requesting a refund).
In some cases, your photo or video will be stored in iCloud, and when you add it to your project, there will be something blocking the app from downloading it from iCloud. For example, some users will not be on Wi-Fi, and will have blocked apps from downloading photos and videos when not connected to Wi-Fi. In this case, the app is forced to use a lower resolution version of the photo/video which is stored on the device.
To fix this, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi and a stable Internet connection, and try replace the blurry photo/video with the same photo/video you selected before. The app will then download the better quality photo/video from iCloud and the result will look great.
If you back up your old device to iCloud, and then restore from iCloud to the new device, your project will automatically be transferred to your new iPhone.
If you start your new device out fresh without restoring from iCloud, your projects will not be restored and there is currently no way to transfer them from your old phone. If this feature is important to you, let us know and we will consider adding it.
Actually, there is no limit to the amount of text segments you can add, but you can only add 6 text timelines. This means that you can have up to 6 text items appear on the screen at the same time, but your entire project can contain an unlimited number of text segments.
To add more text segments, tap the "Text" timeline bar to enter the text timeline, select one of the 6 text timelines you may have added. In the timeline, you can tap the "+" button to add more text or tap the "Split" button to split an existing segment into multiple segments.
In the Settings screen, tap "Use your logo as watermark", and select the image you would like to use, the shape you would like it to have, and the position of the watermark. Once you set these options, any video you save will include the watermark.
If you want to save a video without the watermark, tap the "Change watermark" optionin settings, and toggle the switch on the bottom of the screen called "Use as watermark". You can also use this option to change the image, shape and position of the watermark.
Currently the size for watermarks is limited to the default size, and you can also place it in one of the 4 corners of the video. If you would like more options for this, please contact and and we will consider this request.
It's important to understand that any video you make with StoryWave will have one specific ratio, so it's important to select that ratio based on what you want to use it for, and then decide how all photos and videos will appear in that ratio.
To do this, tap the "Ratio" button and select the final video ratio. Then go over each photo/video, and either drag and pinch it to decide how it will appear in the final video frame, or tap the "Fit" button in the bottom left corner of the frame to have the entire photo/video fit into the video frame. In this case, if the photo/video doesn't match the frame, a border will appear, and you can use the "BG Color" option to set the color of this border.
